OMG yes!, I can’t believe they just threw away the chance to give Reid a wonderful relationship! He was very comfortable around her - not as awkward as he sometimes is - and she really cared about him towards the end. I would have loved for them to get together, go on dates and laugh at themselves for being all nervous. XD Omg I want it so bad.

“Daddy!!” Jack screamed and ran straight for his daddies, carrying something who looked fluffy.
“What did you found Jack?” Spencer asked, closing the book he was reading and lifted himself from the chaise longue.
Jack happily showed him the brown ball of fur he was holding. Said ball of fur stirred, revealing a muzzle, two piercing green eyes, four paws and a long tail. “Can we keep it?”
In the meanwhile Aaron had turned off the lawnmower and had approached his son and Spencer. Spencer took the cat from Jack and felt the cat’s heart pounding furiously, “Poor thing, it’s scared like hell,” Aaron observed, Spencer hummed in agreement as patted the cat to soothe him.
“Can we keep it?” Jack tried again.
“I’m sorry buddy, but he’s someone’s pet.” Aaron said and kneeled beside his lover to check if the stray animal had a cat tag, “Peanut,” he read it patting the cat on his head as Spencer stroked his fur.
“Why can’t we keep Peanut?” Jack insisted.
“Don’t you think that Peanut’s owner would be sad if he couldn’t find his pet anywhere?”
Jack shook his head no vigorously.
Aaron blinked, “Why do you say no?”
“If they let it go maybe they didn’t care that much.”
“That’s not true, maybe Peanut was playing, and it got lost. If Derek lost Clooney, he’d be very sad, right?”
Jack nodded.
“And you’d be sad too, right. You like playing with Clooney when we’re at Morgan’s, right?”
Again, the kid nodded. “Oh…” he whispered, “We have to found Peanut’s owner.”
“How are we going to do it?” Spencer asked to Aaron.
“We’re gonna put a found cat ad in the neighborhood and in the meanwhile we can take it to the vet to see if it’s chipped.”
Jack helped Spencer to clean the cat and take a good picture of it for the ad.
That afternoon they were hanging some ads in the neighborhood when Spencer felt someone poking on his shoulder; he turned and saw Mrs. Thompson standing beside him. “You found my Peanut? Thank you. Thank you!” she said taking the cat from Spencer’s hands.
“I found it,” Jack said proud and the old woman patted his head and thanked him again.
They were walking back home, Aaron holding Jack’s hand and Spencer walking arm in arm with Aaron.
“You did the right thing, Jack,” Spencer said, Jack was sad because he really wanted to keep Peanut.
“I know. I realized that when you said that thing about Clooney, and I thought about something or someone I’d be very sad if I lost.”
“Oh I see,” Aaron said, “what made you change your mind?”
“Well I thought that if we lost Spencer and someone decided to keep him I’d be very sad.”
Spencer blushed bright red, mostly because he was flattered, as Aaron laughed wholeheartedly, “I’d be very sad, too,” he whispered before pressing his lips to Spencer’s.
